So I Strip the Body

Session 6

November 9, 2017

Play began on the hillock campsite behind the standing stone where the Rustlers captured Belissa. Nothing happened overnight, and in the morning, Yushli, Lacross, and Lorem skirted the frog village to retrieve Lorem’s boat. In the swamp east of the village, Yushli was slain by a vroat. Lacross kissed his dead, mangled lips. Lacross and Lorem commended his body to the swamp, then the two retrieved the small Ormish fishing vessel.

In the morning the group took two trips on the boat toreach the island, where they found booted footprints (both small and large) crisscrossing various paths. They approached the central purple willow.

A small group of goblin and human slaves of Belissa attempted to sneak up on the group, but failed miserably due to their weakened, malnourished condition.

The magical tree door remains locked.

Fish Often Play Dead

Session 5

November 2, 2017

The group captured Belissa, the charming fey woman, with a net and forced her to break the charm on Rovanjal in exchange for her freedom. She was supposed to return and tell them something about Daybreaker, but she never did.

The PCs entered the Teráthu camp. The frog-people took no notice until the Rustlers entered the central temple, at which point nine Teráthu followered them in. The idol’s tongue lashed out, and the Glof smote it with a mace. Yushli placed some stinking black moss in his mouth and could telepathically sense what the vocal noises of the frog people were: threatening. Suddenly, the nine frog-people brandished stone knives. The group made haste from the village, but not before Lacross found Lorem hog-tied in one of the yurts.

Cranks the X-Bow and Grins

Session 4

October 26, 2017

The “Ned Rustlers” along the lake shore for two days and find several impassable areas that need to be skirted.

They found a sheltered camping area in the scrubby, dry hills northwest of Lake Aischys.  Intelligent wolves patrolled the area, but avoided combat. They didn’t speak, but drew simple pictures in the sand with their paws.

The group slew four Red-Eye bandits.

An aquatic, fey lady of the lake — some would say a “watery tart” — charmed Rovanjal.

Who’s Partying Now?

Session 3

Play began in the Lake View Tavern, where the group bought several rounds of drinks for the fisherfolk patrons. The towns people shared their knowledge from they area. One old codger told the Legend of Tlalok and Costa, the doomed lovers who brought devastation to the Ruined Abbey.

Upon visiting Tlalok and Costa’s cottage in the woods near Lake Aishyss, they were warmly greeted by Tlalok, who revealed the nature of their curse. Tlalok mentioned that the reclamation of the abbey from the forces of The One Who Serves would break the curse.

Travelling along the trail, Harry was slain by a bandit’s arrow. When told to “freeze”, he took three steps forward. His last three steps.

Orm Village

Session 2

May 12 2017

While spending the night in the ruined guard tower, the party saw numerous puple and blue, luminous “spiders” flitting from tree to tree. Investigating, they found that the spiders had lashed an elf maiden named Lorem to a tall oak tree. After the group slew one spider, the arachnids bagan a high keening, which summoned a much larger spider. The large spider was nearly slain by crossbow quarrels, and the spiders retreated en masse, but not before the halfling was poisoned. The PCs freed Lorem from the tree and invited her to stay in the tower with them.

The group arrived in Orm, where the Glof and Rovanjal paid their respects at the temple of the Lord of Light. The abbot, Jarin, a middle-aged man wearing a black cassock, offered the poisoned halfling a neutralize poison potion.

Meanwhile, the rest of the group descended on the aptly-named Lake View Tavern, run my Mama Windmere and her two daughters. They told the group about the sword Daybreaker, the Sword of the Dawn, which lies at the bottom of a lagoon of Lake Ayshiss about five miles to the southwest. The group also learns of the “frog people” who inhabit the lagoon, the Teráthu.

The group decides to retrieve the Sword of the Dawn, and they spend the night at the tavern, courtesy of Mama Windmere.

The Ned Rustlers

Session 1

May 10 2017

Play began in the office of one Jeantreaux of Beck, Sword Master of the town of Ulspar. He hired the group to bring back goblin heads from the Ruined Abbey, some twenty miles away Orm Village on the north side of Lake Aishyss. The greenskins have been poaching livestock from Ormish farmers. Jeantreax, a gaunt, white-haired man with a pegleg, offered to pay twenty Sovereigns (a gold coin) per Greenskin head and ten Sovereigns for a leader’s head.  He sent along his nephew Ned, an awkward, acne-riddled teenage boy. Ned brings his faithful nag, Betty, and a flat wagon.

The group traveled north along a disused wagon track for several hours and came upon a stone guard tower, occupied by seven Red-Eye Bandits. The bandits are quickly overcome and Glof, cleric of the Lord of Light, offered them 10 Sovereigns to become the group’s henchmen. “But”, one of the bandits added, “definitely not minions.”
